Associated Industries of Florida has released its 2026 Voting Records report and named six lawmakers as this year’s “Champions for Business.”
The annual scorecard tracks how legislators voted on issues affecting Florida employers during the 2026 Legislative Session. According to AIF, this year’s report analyzed more than 2,500 votes cast on 47 bills.
“After every Legislative Session for the last 52 years, Florida employers are able to turn to AIF’s Voting Records report to better understand how lawmakers voted on issues affecting the state’s business community,” said AIF President and CEO Brewster Bevis.
AIF Vice President of Governmental Affairs Adam Basford said the 2026 Session produced “meaningful outcomes” for Florida businesses while also featuring debates over litigation, regulation and long-term employer costs.
The organization’s 2026 Champions for Business award recipients are Sen. Stan McClain, Rep. Kimberly Berfield, Rep. Tom Fabricio, Rep. Mike Giallombardo, Rep. Chad Johnson and Rep. Danny Nix.
AIF said the lawmakers were recognized for their work on issues including tort reform, data center policy, cybersecurity protections and regulatory policy.
