Gold prices in Vietnam extended their downward trend,
falling by VND900,000 ($34.2) per tael on both the buying and selling sides on April
13.
One tael equals 37.5 grams, or about 1.2 ounces.
The buying price of SJC-branded gold bars dropped to
VND168.5 million ($6,406) per tael, while the selling price declined to
VND171.5 million ($6,520) per tael.
This represents a decrease of VND900,000 per tael compared
to the last trading session of previous week.
Globally, gold prices fell by over 0.7% to $4,716.4 per
ounce. Despite the decline, domestic prices remain about VND20.08 million ($763)
per tael higher than international levels.
