Resolution 79-NQ/TW, dated January 6, reaffirms the State economy’s

safeguarding major economic balances, and ensuring national defence and
security.

The Resolution stresses that the State economy is equal
before the law with other economic sectors and is expected to compete and

markets, and development opportunities.

By 2030, Vietnam aims to have 50 State-owned enterprises
(SOEs) among Southeast Asia’s 500 largest firms and one to three in the global
top 500.
