The buying and selling prices of SJC-branded gold bars dropping by VND1.2 million ($45.6) per tael.

Gold prices in the domestic market fell sharply on October
28, dropping by VND1.2 million ($45.6) per tael from the previous day.

The buying and selling prices of SJC-branded gold bars were
listed at VND145.7 million ($5,539) and VND147.2 million ($5,596) per tael,
respectively.

One tael equals 37.5 grams, or 1.2 ounces.

Prices of gold rings also declined, down VND1–1.8 million ($38–68.4)
per tael.

In contrast, global gold prices edged up nearly 0.2% to
$3,989 per ounce. Despite the slight rebound, domestic gold prices remained
about VND19.18 million ($729) per tael higher than international levels.
