New polling shows that most voters in four important Florida Senate districts do not want lawmakers to redraw congressional boundaries.

According to Right Count Action, about 57% of voters in Senate Districts 10, 14, 26, and 28 opposed redistricting, while only 36% supported changing the district lines.

Currently, GOP Sens. Jason Brodeur and Alexis Calatayud represent SD 10 and SD 38. SD 14 and SD 26 are represented by newly elected Sen. Brian Nathan and Senate Minority Leader Lori Berman.

Voters were asked whether they support or oppose the idea of Gov. DeSantis calling a Special Session that would require lawmakers to redraw Florida’s congressional districts to help elect more Republicans to Congress.

“Even those who don’t outright oppose this mid-cycle redistricting view it as, at best, a distraction from the core economic issues ignored by the 2026 Legislature, and see it as a reason to vote against anyone who votes for new maps,” reads a polling memo from SEA Polling and Strategic Design.

In all four districts, most voters opposed redistricting: 53% in SD 10, 55% in SD 14, 65% in SD 26, and 54% in SD 38. Support for redistricting did not go above 40% in any district.

Just 22% of voters said they would be more likely to vote for their state Senator if the Senator supported a new map, while 42% said they would be less likely.

The poll also found a shift in the climate in each District since 2024. In a head-to-head match-up for Governor in each District, Republican Byron Donalds only leads in one District, SD 10, where he was up eight percentage points over Democrat David Jolly. But Jolly was up 4 points in SD 38, 7 points in SD 14 and 16 points in SD 26.

Democratic Attorney General José Javier Rodríguez led in all districts. He was ahead by one point in SD 10 and by 10 points in SD 38, both Republican-held seats. He also led by 6 points in SD 14 and 16 points in SD 26.

On a generic state Senate ballot, Republicans led in the districts they currently hold, but only by 3 points in SD 10 and by less than a tenth of a point in SD 38. Democrats led by 6 points in SD 14 and 14 points in SD 26.

The poll had a margin of error of 5.64%.
