Hong Kong police arrest man who robbed bank in Wan Chai with hammer, suspected firearm

Hong Kong police have arrested a man over a bank robbery in Wan Chai, with preliminary investigations showing that HK$36,000 (US$4,595) was stolen.
Police received a report at 12.26pm after a man robbed a branch of Bank of East Asia in Harbour View Centre before fleeing the scene on a bicycle.
Officers arrested the suspect at Wan Tsui Shopping Centre in Chai Wan 90 minutes later.
A source said the suspect, wearing a black hat, black T-shirt and mask, brandished a hammer and a suspected firearm…
