Swiss authorities on Tuesday said that fire safety inspections had not been carried out since 2019 at Le Constellation bar in the Swiss Alpine ski resort of Crans-Montana where 40 people died and 116 where injured in a New Year’s Eve blaze. The law requires the municipal fire department to conduct annual inspections in establishments open to the public.
