Hong Kong’s leader has pledged to offer full support for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) meeting in Shenzhen next year while revealing new initiatives to foster closer ties with Asean countries, including a high-level official visit to Singapore.
Wrapping up his attendance at the Apec meeting in Gyeongju, South Korea, on Saturday, Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu said he felt “thrilled” that Shenzhen would host the meeting in November next year.
