Maggie Doyne’s Mission in Nepal
Maggie Doyne, winner of CNN Hero of the Year 2015, continues to help children in Nepal through her nonprofit BlinkNow Foundation.
She started her work in Surkhet, Nepal, when she was only 19 years old. What began as one small home for children has now grown into a full school and community center.
The Growth of BlinkNow
Today, BlinkNow runs Kopila Valley School, offering free education for hundreds of children.
The organization also provides food, health care, and shelter for families in need.
Through its Women’s Center, local women receive training, jobs, and support for a better future.
Overcoming Challenges
Maggie has faced many personal and professional challenges, including the loss of her adopted son.
Despite the hardship, she continues to focus on education, health, and community development for children and families in Nepal.
